We invite all students to
study Optoelectronics !!
1) The Optoelectronics
graduate is well prepared for creative engineering work as well as for research
and development projects in the field of design, building and using electronic
and optoelectronic equipment and systems.
2) The Optoelectronics
graduate, being a Master of Science in Electronics, majoring in
Optoelectronics, is well prepared for taking part in creative and innovative
engineering projects as well as for research and development. Project in the
field of design, building and using electronic and optoelectronic equipment and
systems.
Knowledge acquired by the
graduate covers three main field: optical telecommunications, optical measurement
techniques, lasers and their applications,
In the field of optical
telecommunication students learn about optical fibers, couplers, optical
amplifiers and Rother components used in that field as well as about methods, setups
and systems for generation and detection of optical signals. Education in this
field covers also photonic integrated circuits, integrated optical circuits as
well as specialized measurement techniques used in optical telecommunication.
Education in the field of optical
measurement techniques covers classical techniques, such homodyne and
heterodyne interferometry, point and distributed optical fiber sensors, holography.
Optical processing of information and information visualization methods are
also subjects of study.
Education on lasers and their
applications covers all key laser types as well as their applications in
science, engineering, medicine and industry. Emphasis is placed on laser
safety, femtosecond pulse generation, high power pulse generation, beam quality
and innovative applications, such as optical combs and supercontinum generation
The Optoelectronics graduate
is well prepared for work in companies manufacturing or using electronic equipment as well as in firms and research institutions in the fields
of optical measurement techniques, optical telecommunications, optical fiber
sensing, integrated optics, lasers and micro-opto-electro-mechanical systems
(MOEMS).
