Department of Automatic Control
was established under this name in 1992
in the place of Division of Automation and Signal Processing.
The main fields of research carried out in the Department are: system modeling and identification; adaptive control theory; robust and predictive control; signal reconstruction; failure detection and isolation, vehicle control optimalization, integrating navigation and safety monitoring systems; mobile robotics.
Practical applications developed in the Department include:
restoration (declicking and denoising) of archive audio recordings;
